A Very Special Event
A reception with Patty Murray
Wednesday, August 17th at 5:30pm
At the home of former Senator Karen Fraser
Karen Fraser, Senator Sam Hunt, Olympia Mayor Cheryl Selby, Leo Fuller, Merritt and Marsha Long, Anna Knudsen, Nina Carter, and Tom Rainey, cordially invite you to join U.S. Senator Patty Murray and many of our neighbors for an in-person reception at on Wednesday August 17th at 5:30 pm!
More details are below, and you can register online here.
In 2022, Senator Murray is facing one of the best-funded Republican challengers in the country, McConnell’s handpicked candidate Tiffany Smiley. Smiley is entering the general election with major national GOP donors and leaders lining up behind her campaign. For the first time in recent memory, the NRSC has bought about $700k+ in negative ads against Senator Murray, and they have established a field operation in our state. National pundits and electoral predictors have begun to take notice: Crystal Ball called the Washington Senate race a “GOP sleeper” and Roll Call named Senator Murray the 6th most vulnerable Democratic senator in 2022.
Patty takes every race seriously and as a two-time chair of the DSCC, her campaign is acting quickly to make sure Washington voters hear about her nonstop focus on workers, families, and an economy that works for all of Washington state. This is in sharp contrast to so many of Smiley’s views.
Senator Murray needs our help to assure she has the resources to make sure Washington voters hear about Smiley’s real views, and to defend against the entrenched hard-right base in Washington state.
We hope you'll support Patty by joining us at this upcoming event.
